ENSMBLE continúa su trayectoria editorial albergando un nuevo trabajo de DJ Raff, experto beatmaker chileno con una influencia indivisible en la escena Hip Hop de su país y que también dejó una importante huella en su larga estancia en España. Después de que en 2011 lanzara su fantástico “Latino & Proud” via Nacional Records, Raff enfoca sus producciones desde un perfil más personal y experimental, intentando retratar en un pasaje como este su transición entre la vida de la ciudad condal y su vuelta a Santiago de Chile.

Según él mismo revela, “Time & Hope” ha sido producido con “varios cacharros viejos que encontré en Encants (mercado de Barcelona?), (un sampler de juguete 8bit Yamaha, Casiotones pequeños) y ayudándome con el software Protools.” 4 tracks que exploran su parcela creativa más experimental y adaptada a las últimas coordenadas y técnicas enfocadas al Club. "Nocturnal" inicia el viaje, estableciendo desde el comienzo un variado catálogo de recursos, tanto melódicos como rítmicos, un corte de naturaleza abstracta y maximalista que consigue crear una atmósfera contemplativa y crepuscular. Por el contrario, la composición que da nombre a este trabajo acaricia con elegancia las técnicas de manipulación etérea, amplificando los samples y procesos vocales y confeccionando una dinámica, frenética ecuación de percusión con destellos hacia el Footwork.

"Insane" es un momento clave, con sus arpegios coloristas y un desarrollo aderezado con sensuales y sofisticados procesos vocales, exuberante y conciso al mismo tiempo, ayudado una vez más por una línea de percusión híbrida y corpulenta. "T.I.M.E." cierra el joint amplificando aún más el clima meditativo de todo el conjunto, de nuevo planteando una arquitectura pluricelular, y cimentada en las últimas técnicas de producción principalmente asentadas en UK. “Time & Hope” servirá como un preámbulo de excepción para el próximo LP que Raff está preparando para Nacional Records, programado para 2013.

ENSMBLE continues its editorial trajectory by hosting a new project from Dj Raff, an expert beatmaker from Chile with great influence in the Hip Hop Chilean scene, and who also left an important trace in his long stay in Spain. After the launching of his "Latino & Proud" in 2011 via National Records, Raff is focusing on his productions from a more personal and experimental side, trying to portray in them the transition between his life in Barcelona and his return to Santiago de Chile.

As he reveals, "Time & Hope" has been produced with "some old stuff I found at Encants (a Barcelona's market): a Yamaha 8bit toy sampler, small Casiotones... and Protools software". The four tracks EP explore his creative side more experimental and adapted to the latest grids and techniques aimed to the Club. "Nocturnal" starts the trip, establishing from the beginning an assorted catalog of resources, both melodic and rythmic, a track with an abstract and maximalist nature that succeeds in creating a contemplative and crepuscular atmosphere. On the contrary, the composition that gives a name to the whole release caresses with elegance the techniques of ethereal manipulation, amplifying the music samples and vocal processes and compiling a dynamic and frenetic percussion equation with Footwork flashes.

"Insane" is a key moment, with its colorful arpeggios and development seasoned with sensual and sophisticated vocal processes, lush and concise at the same time, helped once again by a hybrid and stout drum line. "T.I.M.E." closes the joint amplifying further the meditative atmosphere of the whole, posing again a multicellular architecture, and grounded in the latest production techniques mainly settled in the UK. "Time & Hope" will serve as an exceptional preamble for the next LP that Raff is already preparing for National Records, scheduled for 2013.
